Mr. Kebab and Miss Inconsiderate

You know how girls keep saying that guys are such dicks?

We spent the entire night sending each other text messages, expressing how we just couldn't wait to see each other at the office. It was decided, we were going to have an awesome lunch together at Mr. Kebab. Of course, I'd have the usual Special Beef Chelo Kebab, and you, the usual Keema with Eggplant.

The idea of having lunch with you brought me through the day, believe it or not; and I don't know which excited me more– the thought of devouring not one, but two strips of deliciously roasted meat; or seeing how tickled you'd be as I systematically poured soy sauce on your rice again.

The hour arrived, and I couldn't find you anywhere. I sent text after text, Sametime message after Sametime message, and each one of my calls hopelessly terminated at the sound of "the subscriber cannot be reached". But hey, it's a call center. You were probably in the middle of a meeting, or swamped with reports, or stuck in the little girl's room.

I get my raggedy phone out and start putting another message together. "Tell you what, let me just buy our food and bring it back here. We can still eat together."

With a heavy heart, I make my way to the restaurant–  and guess who I see... You! Yes, you! Only, with two other guys. And what words manage to come out of that adorable little mouth of yours?

"Anong ginagawa mo rito?"

Sometimes girls are, too.
